As Chairman of the 17th International Forgemasters Meeting, I would like to invite you to attend this event to be held in Santander, Spain from 3rd to 7th November 2008.

Taking place on a regular basis, these meetings act as an essential forum in which the most important and current issues affecting the sector are discussed. On this occasion, presentations and poster sessions will address such issues, including the participation of experts in the fields of greatest interest.

Given the event will be attended by over 500 researchers, skillful technicians and decision makers it will be, without doubt, an essential meeting point during 2008.

The IFM2008 will be held in Santander's Exhibition and Conference Hall, located on the city's sea front. A modern, coastal city in the north of Spain, Santander is renowned for its fine beaches, bay and stunning surroundings. In addition to the meeting, an interesting social programme is being organised in order to provide an opportunity for you to enjoy the city and, of course, the local food, during your visit.
